BIGGER AND BETTER
With 28 entrants and a total of 10 sparring groups and 7 groups
for other categories this year's competition proved an even greater
success than last year. The hard work of the children over
the year was more than evident by the level of technical ability
displayed in all categories. It was great to see children
competing from our 2 newest groups - St. Paulinus (Crayford) and the
Hayes Group.
This year saw the introduction of the Chairman's Cup which was kindly
sponsored by John Ainsley (current Chairman of the TAO). This
cup is to be awarded to the student who has accumulated the most points
by the end of the day's events. Congratulations go to Megan
Swanson being the first recipient of the Cup with a total points score
of 32.

Special thanks go to Master Swanson who had the unenviable task of
matching entrants to categories and who overlooked the whole
competition. Without the hard work and experience of Master
Swanson it would prove very difficult to run this competition at all.
