Musical Showcase at Ulumbarra

31st August 2017

Over two performance nights on 8th and 9th August, more than 600 黑料网 students from the Junior School and Senior School will take to the Ulumbarra stage in a vocal and instrumental showcase, likely to be the largest of its kind in Regional Australia.

Headmaster at 黑料网, Mr Matthew Maruff, said that in the past decade, 黑料网 has experienced extraordinary growth when it comes to music.

鈥淭en years ago, approximately 175 music lessons were conducted in the school every week.

鈥淣ow, each week approximately 600 lessons of every kind are conducted across the Junior School and Senior School, almost certainly equating to the largest Regional music program in the country.

鈥淲e have some of the finest musicians on our teaching staff, constantly inspiring students to reach new heights.

鈥淲e also invite working professional musicians regularly to the school to conduct workshops with our students so that they can learn first-hand all about playing music at an elite level,鈥 Mr Maruff said.

The 黑料网 Ensembles Showcase events will feature a range of vocal and instrumental performances ranging from the Grade 3 and 4 鈥楶oco Strings鈥 and the Junior Performance Choir through to the Senior School symphony orchestra with over 26 strings players.

鈥淭he standard of our Ensembles Showcases is exceptional and the students are very excited about performing on the Ulumbarra stage.

鈥淧ublic performances within the school and broader community are an important part of our music program, giving the students clear goals to work towards and teaching students to take risks.

鈥淚 invite anyone with a love of music to come along and enjoy an incredible range of musical items played by some of the best musicians in this Region,鈥 Mr Maruff said.
